SUGAR SYRUP FILTER PRESS

The Akshar Engineering Works – manufacturer and supplier of zero hold up filter press in India that is made up of high quality stainless steel having customized finished design. The cartridge assembly consists of plates, perforated screens, spacers and filter media stands on S.S. trolley. The whole assembly complete with attached pump and pipe lines through welding.

OPERATIONS

The zero hold up filter press having exactly the opposite direction of flow of liquid to the flow in standard filter. The unfiltered liquid is fed into central part of the machine giving high pressure from bottom inlet. The filter media filters the liquid when the whole liquid spreads out equally on each plate. Solids remain on filter media and filtrate liquid collects in the shell, which then comes out through the outlet. After the completing of filtration process the cake is cleaned from filter material and can be recycled.

    • Single pass operation with complete recovery of solids.
    • Complete product recovery, no separate scavenging operation required.
    • Central feeding from the bottom ensures that the unfiltered liquid does not come in contact with the vessel, hence no solid remains in the vessel.
    • The filter plates are completely welded to the ring to avoid contamination
    • The interlocking cups are welded to the filter plate to make it a one piece construction, for ease in cleaning and operation.
    • The complete assembly is a closed system, thereby eliminating the danger of spillage, gas dispersion, etc.
    • Solid cake recovery possible by drying from the bottom purging valve.
    • Uniform cake distribution on all the filter plates.
    • It comes with a variety of pumps like centrifugal, lobe pump, gear pump, etc
    • All gaskets are food grade silicon as per CGMP guidelines.
    • Optionally available with steam jacket for heating during filtration
    • Complete unit can be dismantled for washing and sterilizing, thus making it suitable for pharmaceutical applications.
    • Variety of filtration media can filter aids can be used depending on application.
