SPARKLER FILTER PRESS

The horizontal sparkler type filter is the most versatile filtration system for solid - liquid separation. It can also be used apart from filtration, with the help of filter aids for giving a sparkling effect to the liquids filtered. The filters are most suited for the filtration of products for the pharmaceutical, chemical, distillery, beverage, ink, oil and other allied industries. It is available in different output capacities with a variety of pumps to suit individual requirements.

“AKSHAR” offer a wide range of Standard filter press in India consisting of stainless steel shells with bolted top cover. This feature helps the filter press to create and maintain its pressure. Several disc type filter plates are arranged horizontally in the filter cartridge assembly with perforated supporting screens, filter media and interlocking cups. The whole assembly shell stands on S.S. trolley and structured with pump and piping connection.

OPERATIONS

The main operation of horizontal standard filter press is to filter the impure liquid. Arriving on top of each horizontal plate with increasing pressure, the filter media holds back the impurities and allows the filter to pass through centre by interlocking cups, which takes the filtrate to the outlet of the filter. The cake formed between the horizontal plates can also be obtained. The function of filtration process becomes slow when the liquid reached its holding capacity into the cake.

    • Available in S. S. 316 L and S. S. 304 construction in various configurations.
    • Single pass operation with complete recovery of solids.
    • Complete product recovery, no separate scavenging operation required.
    • Central feeding from the bottom ensures that the unfiltered liquid does not come in contact with the vessel, hence no solid remains in the vessel.
    • The filter plates are completely welded to the ring to avoid contamination.
    • The interlocking cups are welded to the filter plate to make it a one piece construction, for ease in cleaning and operation.
    • The complete assembly is a closed system, thereby eliminating the danger of spillage, gas dispersion, etc.
    • Solid cake recovery possible by drying from the bottom purging valve.
    • Uniform cake distribution on all the filter plates.
    • It comes with a variety of pumps like centrifugal, lobe pump, gear pump, etc
    • All gaskets are food grade silicon as per CGMP guidelines.
    • Optionally available with steam jacket for heating during filtration
    • Complete unit can be dismantled for washing and sterilizing, thus making it suitable for pharmaceutical applications.
    • Variety of filtration media can filter aids can be used depending on application.
